@heydon I recently had a client building a table out of Shadow DOM elements, replicating the elements of an HTML table, and then completely flabbergasted that ARIA roles and properties would not propagate from one Shadow DOM to another.

I want to say 99.9% of the Shadow DOM use I see is directly related to over-engineering a very simple thing that usually is already in HTML.
